Author Interview- Juli D. Revezzo

Good chilly morning readers. Today we have author, Juli D. Revezzo with us. Check out this gorgeous cover and read on as she shares her book, Passion's Sacred Dance, with us.

Tell me three words that describe yourself starting with A, B, and C.

A: Ambitious
B:
C: Creative.

What are your three favorite things?

Writing, books, and movies.

Was there any particular inspiration for your characters or story?

Yes, the warriors came from the story of the Second Battle of Mag Tuired in Celtic mythology. They are part of the mythic army of the Tuatha dé Danann, and their foe is their mythical foe, Balor. It seemed logical  to send them to my heroine. She popped up as the owner of a historical gallery and the holder of sacred ground.

How much is your character like you?

Well, the gallery my heroine owns and her work in it comes from a time in my college years when I worked for my college’s art gallery so, she’s a lot like me. The hero? I suppose, he gets all his knowledge of his mythic comrades-in-arms from me, as I’ve studied Celtic mythology for quite a while. J

Will there be more books in your series, or can you tell us about any previous books?

Yes, absolutely. J The way it’s laid out there will (I think) be several more…. I’m revising book two now, and last November used book three as my Nanowrimo project. Didn’t win, but I managed to get a good bulk of the first draft finished. So look for those in the future.

For the moment, for book one, Passion’s Sacred Dance, should your readers be interested, the blurb is as follows:

Battling mounting debt, Stacy Macken is determined not to lose her historic art gallery. When Aaron Fielding appears and offers to help, she fights to keep the attraction sizzling between them from clouding her judgment. He may be her savior in disguise--but can she trust him?

Aaron intrigues her with tales of the Tuatha dé Danann, sworn warriors who protect humanity from the monsters seeking their destruction. If Aaron can prove what he claims, she would give up anything to help--even the gallery he claims is sacred ground. But with her property set to stage the next epic battle, she needs answers. An old family diary will confirm the ancient legend is true, if only they can find it in time.

If the battle is lost, the enemy will take control of Earth for the next five hundred years. Stacy and Aaron's budding love might only complicate things.

  1. What an interesting story Juli. Have you always loved celt mythology or did someone nudge you into it?

  2. Ah, yes, Angela. As it turns out, I've been in love with Arthurian legends since childhood. I discovered the Mabinogion in college, however, and I've been voracious about my study of the Celts and their society and mythology ever since. ;) I think my muse nudged me that way. I dunno. I've worked it into many a story since then

Thanks again for having me here today.
