CB Clark- My Brother's Sins

Happy Monday readers.
I hope you had a great weekend.
Today I have TWRP author, CB Clark on the blog answering a few questions
and sharing her new book,
 My Brother's Sins.

Welcome CB, please, tell me three words that describe yourself starting with A, B, and C.

       Active, Blessed, Curious

What are your three favorite things?

       Wilderness camping, Canoeing, Dogs

Are you self-published or with a publishing company?

I have two books published by The Wild Rose Press.

What for you is the best part of writing? What is the worst?

I love creating new worlds and peopling them with interesting characters and then upping the stakes and watching them scramble to reach their goals. There’s a letdown once a book is finished, and a sense of loss as you say goodbye to the characters who have become friends. Like many authors, I’m uncomfortable with the business end of book promotion, but I realize it’s an important part of this business.

If you could spend the day with any celebrity, who would it be?

I’d love to spend the day with William Shatner, the actor who portrayed Captain James T. Kirk in the old Star Trek television series and movies. First of all he’s Canadian, he’s a trained Shakespearean actor, and I’ve read both of his autobiographies. And did I mention, he’s Captain Kirk? He seems to have a great sense of humor, and he doesn’t take himself too seriously.

Is there a process you stick to, or do you just write as it hits you?

I’m a pantster. That’s the fun part. I start with the germ of an idea and a first sentence and go from there. Some days writing is a wild, rollercoaster ride with ideas coming fast and heavy; other days, it’s like wading in mud. I love not knowing what’s going to happen next and letting my characters write their own stories. Of course, that means there’s tons of revising when I’m finished.

When not writing, what can you be found doing?

Hiking with my dog through the forested wilderness behind my house or canoeing on a quiet lake listening to the loons. In the winter, I enjoy cross country skiing and snowshoeing. I’ve also been travelling a great deal this past year, with more trips planned in the future.

‘My Brother’s Sins’ Blurb:

Ryan Marshall’s kid brother had always been trouble. Now, his brother wants Ryan, ex-DEA agent, to protect the woman he loves from a notorious, Mexican drug cartel.
The second Ryan lays eyes on Hallie Harkins, he knows he’s made a mistake. Hallie’s blonde beauty and stubborn grit tempt him like no woman ever has. It’s all he can do to keep his hands off her…and his heart intact.

Hallie’s worst fears are realized when the man she expects to meet, vanishes. In his place, a disturbingly attractive stranger appears, claiming he’s been sent to protect her. Can she trust him? Or is he working with her pursuers?

Following an attempt on Hallie’s life, she and Ryan join forces, embarking on a perilous mission of danger and desire taking them from rural Montana to the sunny shores of Acapulco Bay, and into the clutches of a ruthless killer.

Will they survive the mission together and find love in each other’s arms?

C.B. Clark Author Bio

C.B. Clark has always loved reading, especially romances, but it wasn’t until she lost her voice for a year that she considered writing her own romantic suspense stories. She grew up in Canada’s Northwest Territories and Yukon. Graduating with a degree in Anthropology and Archaeology, she has worked as an archaeologist and an educator, teaching students from the primary grades through the first year of college. She enjoys hiking, canoeing, and snowshoeing with her husband and dog near her home in the wilderness of central British Columbia.

  1. Hey Christine. I'm also a closet Trekkie fan! Loved the original series with Capt K always sans shirt, making wonderfully un-pc flirtatious comments to women! Good luck with My Brother's Sins. Looks like a rollicking and heartbreaking read. Anni xx

  5. I'm suck a Star Trek fan, though I lean more towards Leonard Nimoy as my fave. Of course, I'd totally spend the day with William Shatner.

    Great blurb!

    1. I am looking forward to the upcoming Star Trek movie, though Chris Pine doesn't have the same pizazz as William Shatner.

  6. Nice interview, ladies! William Shatner is a hoot, but I must admit I would totally prefer Chris Pine's version of Captain Kirk (yum)

    1. We could argue about who is the best Captain Kirk, Katie, but I think they're both interesting characters. Who knew there were so many Star Trek fans still out there?
