Thankful Author 2017- Loreen Augeri

I would like to thank Angela for organizing this event and having me here today.

I am thankful for many things in my life but the most important is my family, that we are in good health, and have a home to live in, especially after the disasters that have happened in the last few months.

I am also grateful I am able to see the vibrant colors of changing leaves in the fall, hear the honking geese as they travel south, feel the softness of mum petals, smell baking apple pies and after they are removed from the oven have the chance to taste them.

I am glad I have time to write and that my characters talk to me. Since they cooperate, I have released my third historical romance, Not A Gentleman. My heroine and hero are also thankful. In the beginning of Not A Gentleman, my heroine is happy she and her sister have escaped the evil clutches of her uncle. My hero is pleased he has acquired a job to support his siblings and repair the manor he inherited. At the end of the book, they discover more and different reasons to be grateful.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Blurb:

When Juliana Stevenson’s father dies under suspicious circumstances, her greedy uncle betroths her and her sister to vile men for his profit. They refuse to be part of his plan, and flee, but her uncle hires an arrogant, demanding man to bring them back.

Needing money to care for his brother and sister and repair a manor in disrepair, Nicholas Blackstone agrees to find the women. He captures Juliana but not her sister and imprisons her in his manor until he can discover the whereabouts of her sibling.

Juliana’s body calls to Nicholas, but she can never be his — her life is already mapped out. Can they fight the passion pulling them together while her father's killer stalks them?

  4. Hi Loreen, I too am enjoying the vibrant colors of fall that are finally starting to burst forth around here.

And I do so love it when our characters talk to us, it makes it so much easier to write their stories!

  6. I'm more of a summer person, but I appreciate the fall. To me it symbolizes a rest before winter which leads to the rebirth of spring. And then my summer. :)
I'm always thankful when my characters talk to me, too! So glad your characters let you finish Not a Gentleman.
    Good luck!

    1. Summer is my favorite season, too. The only thing I don't like about fall is that I know winter (my least favorite season) follows it.
