Thankful Author 2017- Amanda Uhl

I’m thankful for good times and good friends and family that fill my life with laughter. I’ve always been a serious person and a bit of a workaholic. That’s why I appreciate those who know how to have a good time and find humor in life’s mishaps. My husband, in particular, brings fun times and laughter to our daily routine. He always has a funny “Simpson’s” quote to share with me when I’m stressed.

Lately, I’ve been stressed (in a good way) with the launch of the audio version of my book Mind Waves. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre. It wasn’t a stretch to decide to narrate my own book. Except I’ve never done one before and neither had the local studio I found to do it. We decided to learn together, and I’m proud to say my first audiobook is now for sale on AudibleAmazon and iTunes.

Check it out and let me know what you think!

Here’s a brief description of Mind Waves:

If he can control her mind…
Government operative David Jenkins is skilled at controlling his emotions. Feelings are lethal when your job is to infiltrate minds, erase and implant thoughts, and guard the nation’s intellectual capital. But even he can’t fight his strange attraction to Grace Woznisky. He’ll do whatever it takes to protect her from a madman intent on possessing both their minds. Neither suspect their dangerous enemy has a larger motive, and David may be Grace’s only chance for survival.

Can he control her heart?
All freelance artist Grace wants is steady-paying work and to see her flighty sister to the altar. But after David offers her a job, she finds herself in the middle of a mental tug of war—one that has her reeling from nightmares and fighting for her life. She must decide: Are her growing feelings for her new boss authentic, or is she a victim of his mind-altering abilities?

  6. I'm intrigued by both the promo of Mind Waves and the fact you did your own audio version. So brave but then again your eductation is in theatre! Think I will read a portion of one of mine into a recorder and see what I sound like. I do so admire those that have an artistic talent.
