Tell me three words that describe yourself starting with A, B, and C.

Ambitious, bubbly, compassionate

What are your three favorite things?

My family, writing, wine

What for you is the best part of writing?

The creative ideas. I love waking up or walking and a plot idea strikes. I immediately write the idea in hopes I’ll have the time to write the story.

What is the worst?

I wouldn’t called what I’m about to say the worst, but the most challenging. I want to write and not worry about social media. Posting on my blog, Facebook, Twitter is easy, but having to pimp my work to the far ends of the earth (that’s what it feels like to me) is a struggle. A lot of time passes and before I know it a day or two is gone.

Is there a process you stick to, or do you just write as it hits you?

As a rule, I write or do something pertaining to writing every day for six to eight hours.

What is the ultimate goal you have for your career?

That’s an easy question, for readers to love my stories and want more.

Will there be more books in your series, or can you tell us about any previous books?

Yes, Entangled Love will have a sequel. Johnny, the bartender, has been nagging me to write his story.
Previous books – Kidnapped Hearts, released in February of 2013, is romantic suspense between a retired FBI agent, Jake Gibson, and a hometown girl, Pamela Young. Jake keeps Pamela out of reach of a known terrorist while trying to resist her charms. I’m working on the sequel, Mystic Hearts, now. Same cast of characters but focusing on another agent, Larry Newman, and Charlene Smith who was kidnapped in the first book.

Blurb:
Emma James is on a mission to rebuild her life after the loss of her husband. When her childhood friend offers an innocent getaway to Santa Monica, she accepts thinking fun in the sun will be a great way to start fresh.
Retired professional skateboarder, Ryan Cross is a gorgeous, lovable, ladies’ man. With two skateboard parks and a fat bank account, he’s on top of his game. What could make him happier?
The love of his childhood friend.
Chaos and life-threatening obstacles have Ryan investigating Emma’s husband's death. When he discovers handwritten notes made by her late husband, he learns some friends can't be trusted. They will stop at nothing to get what they want, including putting Emma’s life in danger.

Author Bio:

As a child, I entertained myself for hours playing pretend, but not with dolls and such. I created stories and pictured them in my mind, sometimes even acted them out, my well preserved secret until now. I spent years after leaving school trying to figure out my niche. Not being a literary enthusiast, I never thought my childhood pastime would lead in this direction.
In life, one door closes and another opens, so I’m told. This was true for me. I lost my mother, my best friend, to cancer. After a year without her, I picked up her favorite hobby…reading. After one book, a romantic suspense, I was hooked. In the past, I’d fall asleep after a few minutes of reading. Now, books rank up there with a good red wine. It didn’t take long for my childhood muse to come back in adult version urging me to put the scenes in my head on paper.
I hope I have provided you with the escape similar to the ones I conjured in childhood and rediscovered as an adult, and I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I have loved creating them.
Cait lives in Virginia with her husband and three daughters.

  1. Hey Cait! Enjoyed Entangled Hearts - and I agree with you about how much time can be lost on Facebook and Twitter - it's like a crazy vortex that sucks time right out of my day!

    Congrats on this new release!
