Thankful Author 2017- Kayden Claremont

In November we think of Thanksgiving, turkey, dressing, gravy and pie. We tend to list all the things we are thankful for at that moment, but why not be thankful all year long?
I have a wonderful husband, and great kids who married people I’m proud to have in the family. Being Canadian we celebrated thanksgiving last month, but each day I get a text or a call from the kids, I’m thankful that we have such a close relationship.
I’m thankful for my extended family. We don’t see one another as often as I’d like, but they are such an important part of my life, they seem close even though we are separated by miles.
I’m thankful for my friends who are like family. They cheer on my successes, hug away my fears and defeat my doubts.
I challenge each of you to thank someone each and every day for the next year. Lets make the next year our most thankful yet!
My book Tartan Temptation will be released soon in audio.

Blurb:
Financial planner Cora Siegfried has returned to her hometown to settle her late father’s estate. Get in, get out, that’s the plan. When she’s almost run over by a kilt-wearing hottie on a motorcycle, all her well-laid plans go up in smoke, and all she can think about is getting well laid by her childhood crush. But after what she hoped would be a one-night stand, leaving him might not be as easy. Talk about a tartan temptation.
With his throne on the line, Brodie Murdock needs to secure his kingdom by taking a bride. When the only woman he’s ever wanted steps right into his path, he knows the legends are true. She is his destiny. The feisty female isn’t hard to seduce into his bed for the night, but she’s proving difficult to convince they are meant for forever. And then there’s the secret that could destroy any chance of their future–a secret he’s not ready to confess. Not until his stubborn soul mate admits she needs him for more than sex.
Excerpt:
She smoothed along the tight fabric covering her thighs. “I’m wearing a skirt.”
He pointed to his kilt. “So am I.”
The corners of her mouth turned up, and his heart warmed. “It’s simple. Just take your skirt here—” He grabbed the front hem of his kilt. “—and hike your leg over the seat.”
Mischief shone in her eyes as she placed her hand where he showed her on her pencil skirt, “You mean like this?” She couldn’t raise her leg very far off the ground. “Mine’s too tight.”
He had already noticed how it hugged her hips. “Then hike up your skirt, lass, and hop on your chariot.”
Before she could reply, a crack of thunder shook the ground and lightening flashed across the sky.
Brodie sensed not only the approaching storm but the storm of emotions raging inside Cora. He couldn’t leave her alone. “Get on the bike. We have to get out of here.” He climbed on the motorcycle, tucking the kilt under him, and extended his hand. “Come.”
She gazed at him for a second, then pulled the strap of her purse over her head, hiked-up her proper, business-length skirt to the point of indecency, and swung her leg over the seat behind him.
He shouldn’t be encouraging her to spend time with him. It was crazy to tempt the gods, but he couldn’t help himself. She was a damsel in distress, and he had to rescue the woman connected to his heartblood.
When Cora wrapped her hands around him, his chest tightened. He struggled to keep his wits about him as he gazed up at the clouds. They had to get to safety.
Gunning the throttle of the motorcycle, they raced down the street to their fate.

  5. Great challenge. It is so nice to have a designated time each year to remind us to be thankful, but we definitely shouldn't forget for the rest of the year.
