Thankful Author 2016- Casi McLean

The greatest thing about dreams is they don't expire. They can lay dormant for years, but when you pull them out and dust them off––they shine like new!
Casi McLean

There's no doubt this year has been a roller-coaster ride. I'm thankful for the highs and touched by the lows. Life is a gift with no promise of tomorrow. I lost my younger brother in February to a massive stroke. No one saw it coming, and I miss him every day. But I'm so grateful he was in my life for so many years. His amazing voice was played as I walked down the isle a few weeks ago and I felt his presence.

The loss was difficult, but followed by brighter days like the birth of my beautiful granddaughter, moving to a stunning new home on the lake where my muse dances, and marrying the man of my dreams. I'm thankful for every day and the wonderful family surrounding me––my husband, two sons, a beautiful daughter-in-law, a new stepdaughter and stepson, and my two amazing grandchildren, who are the lights of my life.

And I live my dreams penning books to stir the soul with romance, suspense, and a sprinkle of magic. I love romance, but I'm not limited to fiction. My memoir, Wingless Butterfly: Healing The Broken Child Within, shares an inspirational message of courage, tenacity, and hope, in a nonfiction self-help book that reads like the whispers of a best friend.

But for the most part, my books cross fiction genres from ethereal, captivating shorts with eerie twist endings to believable time slips, mystical plots and sensual romantic suspense. I love writing enchanting stories with magical description, to entice readers with fascinating hooks and hold them captive in storylines they can't put down. My romance entwines strong, believable heroines with delicious hot heroes to tempt the deepest desires, and I fan the flames, sweeping readers into their innermost romantic fantasies.

I designed my Destiny Series with five novelette shorts to give readers a taste of my style. Please take a moment to check out my work. I hope you'll add me to your list of favorite authors. One who writes romantic mystery, with suspenseful settings and lovable characters you'll devour. I promise you'll see, hear, and feel the magical eeriness of each fateful night. You'll swear time travel could happen, be mystified by other worldly images, and feel heat of romantic suspense, but most of all I hope you'll want more.

My favorite quote:

"In everyone’s life, at some point, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit"

  3. I keep in mind the image of the Buddhist wheel of life, always slowly circling, from joy to sadness, to heartache, to happiness. It never stays in one place. I'm happy you're ending your year with joy--may it overstay its welcome :)
