What am I thankful for
this year? As I sat down to pen this post, so many images flashed within my
mind in a kaleidoscope of feelings, ranging from joyful to the frustrating and
tearful. When I contemplated this post, two words came to mind:
Friendships ~ Those
individuals I have never met face to face, but have formed deep friendships.
Their words of wisdom, comfort, and encouragement have brought a new sense of
the meaning of “friends.” They are true gems in my life.
Smiles ~ I’ve always
said you can disarm anger in an instant with a smile. It may be fleeting, but
it can help. Therefore, I’m grateful for all the smiles I’ve encountered on a
daily basis. Even from a passing stranger. Often times, the unexpected gesture
is the most meaningful. They injected light into my days that were filled with
sadness. I felt touched by the simple act of a smile.

Ailsa MacDuff, a warrior among her clan, has no desire

sorrow.
When betrayal looms from within, the battleground of
love is no match for these two warriors. Can the power of a Highland full moon
be strong enough to unite or destroy them?

Award-winning
Scottish paranormal romance author, Mary Morgan, resides in Northern
California, with her own knight in shining armor. However, during her travels
to Scotland, England, and Ireland, she left a part of her soul in one of these
countries and vows to return.
Mary's passion for books started at an early age
along with an overactive imagination. She spent far too much time daydreaming
and was told quite often to remove her head from the clouds. It wasn't until
the closure of Borders Books where Mary worked that she found her true
calling--writing romance. Now, the worlds she created in her mind are coming to
life within her stories.
If
you enjoy history, tortured heroes, and a wee bit of magic, then time-travel
within the pages of her books.

Dare
to journey with the Dragon Knights of Scotland!
They
were an ancient order descended from the great Tuatha De Danann, a tribe from
the Goddess Danu. Half human and half fae, each blessed with mystical powers.
They were also given holy relics and guardianship over the dragons.
With
the dawn of Christianity, the dragons were systematically hunted down and slain
leaving only one. The Dragon Knights took her from Ireland to a land across the
sea, settling in the Great Glen near Urquhart. The clan was known as the MacKay
clan, descendants from the MacAoidh.
Yet,
there were those who deemed the Order had too much power, and they tried to
possess it for themselves. They were evil and twisted, and their plan succeeded
one fateful night. A battle was fought and their sister was killed.
The
Clan Mackay is no longer.
The
Dragon Knights scattered across the land.
Yet
out of the darkness, they will each fight for redemption.
Along with you, I cherish my cyber-colleagues' friendships as we share our struggles and successes via social media, blogs, and promos. BTW, your cover is outstanding! Nice post.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan. I'm really in love with this cover. Debbie Taylor is amazing! Some of the greatest friends I've met since becoming an author have been with TWRP.
DeleteProbably the best thing for me about social media for writers is the ability to cheer on and vent to those that share the struggle. Sending you a smile! đŸ˜€Congratulations on your latest release. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sending you a smile :) back, Charlotte! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angela! I am grateful for these posts and for our friendship. :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so right about the smiles. When I taught school, I stood at my door and welcomed every kid into my room with a smile. We don't know what is going on in other people's lives, and I figured for some of my kids, it might be the only smile they received.
ReplyDeleteI still smile a lot. In the grocery store or at the mall, I smile at perfect strangers. Don't think I've ever had a negative response.
Smiling at your beautiful cover and happy for your new release!
And I'm smiling back at you, Sandra! :)
DeleteFriendships and smiles...you've narrowed down what's important in our lives, Mary. Thank you. What would we do without friends. A smile can make your day. Happy Thanksgiving.
