One of my daily
habits is to keep a gratitude journal. Even in the most challenging of times, I
force myself to write down at least three things. I’ve found this exercise
works to help my perspective focused on the positive, even when the world feels
utter chaos. 2017 has proved to be a bittersweet year, full of triumph and
sorrow.
2017 was the
best of times and the worst of times. On the positive side, my debut novel and
second novel were published and my career as an author began. Truly a dream
come true. I now belong to a community of authors with whom I feel connected
and am honored and happy to belong to.

Great post, Claire. I also do my best to focus on the positive. Even in the worst of times, there's always something to be grateful for. Best of luck with your series!
ReplyDeleteQuite the blurb...sounds like a dramatic story
ReplyDeleteA gratitude Journal is a great idea. I keep meaning to start one. Thank you for reminding me to do this. Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a gratitude journal - I gave up on my morning pages long ago because it began to feel like I was whining about bad stuff. Having to write 3 things I'm grateful for would help keep a balanced perspective. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI started a journal just this year. Every night before prayers, I write five things I'm grateful for that day. It's definitely a great positive exercise, but I will admit, some days it's easier than others coming up with those five things.
ReplyDeleteGratitude journals are the best, Claire! Wishing you all the best! Happy Thanksgiving!
